I'm building a database for comics / manga writers at the moment. A director has been in touch with me and has me to help source some independent comic/manga writers for a new project coming up - the brief is for a multi-platform drama.

They are looking for two or three writers to work in a team under lead-writer and BAFTA winning director Tinge Krishnan.

Serial episodic content action packed and short, maximum 3 mins.
Mythical fantasy sci-fi with a contemporary urban twist set in Kula Lumpur.

We are looking for UK based writers who can help structure series arcs whilst creating self-contained episodes within them. Think The Sandman meets The Swamp Thing with a dash of Judge Dredd / xmen /heroes.

These writers will be working in a team environment, possibly with Malaysian story-editors/writers and UK based directors.

The writers do not need any previous experience of multiplatform delivery as they will be working with some of the UK’s leading talent in this field who will guide them through the process. What we are looking for is solid storytelling/structuring skills and experience, as well as an understanding of how to create story and character arcs for episodic projects.

Please send me a short piece that would fit the above brief and i shall send it on to the director. I need this asap - as they would like to see people this week or within the next couple of weeks before 22nd.
